Database Searches

The Sorghum Diversity Database contains genotype, phenotype, and polymorphism data collected by sorghum researchers from several institutions who share an interest in characterization and development of genetic resources for sorghum.

Database Searches:

The database is modeled on the Panzea database developed by the Maize Diversity Project. In order to simplify shared use of data and analytical tools, the sorghum project uses the same schema for the database as well as the same software for the website.

The Panzea software is provided by www.panzea.org at Cold Spring Harbour laboratory. Panzea Database design is based on the Genomic Diversity and Phenotype Data Model (GDPDM). The database schema and an Excel file with table and field descriptions are available below. For the most up-to-date information, please visit http://www.maizegenetics.net/gdpdm/documentation.html.
